We are sad to announce the recent death of our founding member George Thompson.

He founded the Camera Club in 1950 and worked tirelessly for it over many years. George was highly regarded by all who knew him and will be sorely missed by the  members.

Highlights of George's life during 2005:

Ron Harper Celebrates

Ron, a camera club member for many years, recently celebrated his 80th birthday by  walking with the Pathfinders on an 8 mile trek, of which the last few miles were pretty punishing. He was then given a tea party with a fancy cake and balloons – and a right good time was had by all. The birthday boy displayed all his usual vim and vigour and really did a good walk.

The ex - Bevan Boy  was renowned in the past as a wedding photographer. These days he can be seen wandering around snapping away with his latest "toy" a mobile phone with built in camera.

Happy birthday Ron from all the club members.
